How to play

  1. 1Steer through the lane

Your ship flies forward on its own. Drag anywhere, or move the mouse, to slip past whatever is coming.

  2. 2Fly through rings

Rings score points, and the dead centre counts as a Perfect. Cyan rings give you a shield, gold rings a warp that doubles your points.

  3. 3Blast what blocks you

Mantis, Wraith and Sovereign carry a pulse cannon. When orange brackets lock on a rock or crate, fire to break it.

  4. 4Upgrade between runs

Gold shards are credits. Spend them on new ships, paint jobs and five upgrade tracks.

  6. Tips
    • On a phone you don't have to touch the ship: drag anywhere and it follows your thumb.
    • Gold shards near rocks and machinery are bait. Take them only if the line out is clear.
    • Laser fences turn like clock hands. Line up where the arm has just passed, not where it is.
About Hyperlane

Hyperlane is an on-rails 3D flying game. Your ship races forward on its own; you steer it around the lane to get past whatever each stage throws at you: swinging shipyard cranes and stacked containers in Drydock, sweeping mining lasers in the Asteroid Belt, tumbling hull plates in the Wreck Field, rotating laser fences at the Laser Gates, mines that arm as you close in, lightning arcs that flicker before they strike in the Ion Storm, and ice shards and crystal spires in the Cryo Rings. Fly through rings for points, hit them dead centre for a Perfect, and grab gold shards for credits. Spend credits in the Hangar on five more ships, each with its own look and one small perk, and on paint jobs. Cyan rings give you a shield and gold rings a five-second warp that doubles your points. Mantis, Wraith and Sovereign carry a pulse cannon that blasts rocks, wrecks and crates out of your way, with two charges per run and rare ammo rings. In the Upgrades shop you can level up warp, shield, magnet, repair drones and the cannon, five levels each. The Daily Run strings four stages into one course that is the same for everyone that day, flown in the same ship with no perks or upgrades. Seven stages are open now, with more on the way.

More tips

  • When a mine's red ring appears you have about half a second. Keep moving and you're through.
  • Warp doubles your points for five seconds, but crashes still count. Save your nerve for it.
